Abstract

The primary aim of the Loyola University Library's Archives is to collect and preserve manuscripts pertaining to the Loyola community, the Society of Jesus, and the history of Louisiana and the South. In particular the Archives seeks the papers of those persons and organizations who have had great influence on the history of the City of New Orleans and reflect the activity of Loyola in thecommunity. As such, the papers of Moon Landrieu, a Loyola alumnus and past Mayor of New Orleans, are considered one of the Archive's most valuable holdings.
